Attended number 3 daughter’s graduation from Nursing school. Very proud of her getting the BSN degree and able to recite the International Pledge for Nurses:

If we all cared a little more about others and followed the example of Florence Nightingale, our world would be a better place. University of Saint Mary has many programs some accelerated, that lead to BA’s MA’s. Located in the green rolling hills of Levenworth Kansas, she had to get used to the thunderstorms and lightning. A newer community with a well laid out shopping malls, and newer housing in a past farming area.
My neighbor Bill Becker said this about WWI conflict. “Amid wars curse stands the Red Cross Nurse, the rose of no man’s land.”

Misrepresentation Recruiting Baseball

My son, who has been recruited a position of lead pitcher for St Mary’s University’s baseball team, informed me that the coach for their baseball team, who recruited him, has departed with the University.

Given these recent developments, I am just seeking clarification.

I’ve reached out to 9 individuals via email in hopes to make it right as my son left his College in Ohio to attend St. Mary’s.

I had high hopes for St. Mary’s University College, especially after reading about the small class sizes and personal attention from professors.

However, this situation has cast a shadow over my perception of the college, and I urge the administration to take immediate steps to improve communication and support for the athletes affected by such transitions.

Maybe this is how the “game” goes.

UPDATE:

Head coach, Bruce, who’s been in this position for 37 years, calls me saying he’s getting all these emails all of a sudden, and he doesn’t know what the confusion is. ?

They have a 50 man rooster and had 9 spots left and didn’t have room for the position my son plays. (He does everything except 1st base) and he’s a switch hitter. Clearly, he did not have any of his videos, or watched him play. (Not being biased).

This is not ok, but it’s ok.

The gentleman that departed from the school was “intern” and went back to another state after receiving his Master’s.

So how does Bruce handle this
He calls my son to say he doesn’t want him to play at St. Mary’s.
From my understanding of what he told me he already spoke to Jadin about this. Unprofessional and unnecessary.

I will highlight that the other people from this college who I reached out to replied back instantly were very helpful and understanding.

Obviously, this is my personal experience with the University.
I’ve heard good things about this school.

If you plan on attending this school for gen eds, it's pretty good. The professors and class sizes are great for that. But, if you are looking for a nursing school go ANYWHERE else. The nursing school is absolutely atrocious and I have no idea where any of the extremely high tuition costs go. Certainly not back into the program. However, now that Birdashaw and Ness got fired the program has hope. Hopefully I'll meet students at my hospital in a few years that say this program turned itself around.

The staff & faculty are very friendly, professional and helpful. It's are beautiful small & diverse campus. Even had an opportunity to meet two of the Sisters. Wishing the Students a good school year.

My son loves the school. I as a parent would like to see the school update the amenities. The dorm and weight equipment in the weight room. All in all we love the school.

This university requires that all students have the vaxx or do a PCR testing every week, and requires mask inside the building. The problem is that they tell you when you already did the payment. They should tell you before, so I can choose something better.

If you are looking for an online MBA program with helpful instructors and where information is taught in an understandable way, then this is not the program for you. If you would like to enroll in a program that increases your blood pressure, causes headaches, exhaustion, and kills your motivation and love of school totally, then this is DEFINITELY the program for you.
If you are reading this, I urge you to look elsewhere for your online degree (I can't speak for the actual classroom experience). I hope to be transferring soon because my experience this far makes me feel like this degree program is a joke.

If you’re looking for flexible class schedules that fit your life style - LOOK ELSE WHERE! It is impossible to take classes online despite the fact that is 2019 and we are living in a technologically advanced world. Really disappointed in this outdated university.
