I thoroughly do not like the College of New Rochelle, especially the School or New Resources, they misspelled my name on numerous occasions, for months my financial aid was messed up because of it and I kept getting flagged by the IRS, My work was misplaced by professors and staff too many times to count. I can not tell you how many of my notebooks and essays I turned in as "samples" were NEVER returned after asking for them back, they were either misplaced or thrown away. I was. given the run around to fix THEIR mistakes all the time and couldn't get clear answers or help from anyone, the concentrations or "Areas of Interest" are limited and the professors were better on paper. The school is not diverse at all and the instructional staff and administration all have biases they try and push on you. The classes are biased and I hardly got anything out of hte majority of the of the courses. I would not recommend anyone waste their time and money at this school.

I attended the School of New Resources and I had an unfavorable experience. The school mostly caters to the Main Campus students and treats SNR as second class citizens. I spent a lot of money in tuition and student fees and was treated by the administration and other staff like I was an inconvenience. There were many times when the printers did not work, the computers are slow, and help in anything is hard to come by. My work has been lost or thrown out on more than one occasion. The courses rarely live up to the descriptions and with the exception of VERY few professors, the instructional staff is mediocre at best. In my experience the school is like a community college at a Private school price. If you are looking to attend a school in New York state, I would recommend Columbia University, (The School of General Studies is for people who have been out of school for a while or are older than the average college age), SUNY Purchase or NYU.

This is the worst ranked school in New York. A graduation rate under 40%, very low endowment, and just look at the other reviews! The school is over $40,000 with room & board. There are MUCH better options for less money.

JOC needs help when it comes to student resources. I do feel JOC gets the short end of the stick, A student is a product of their own education and the teachers are excellent but the resources need help drastically. Library needs more space, more programs, more writing workshops for students, book availability is scarce, tutoring is scarce especially for evening students, computer room needs help, etc. etc. Resources resources resources where are they at JOC?

This is a wonderful school. I graduated from the School of New Resources receiving BA in 2011. I had a most enriching educational experience. A must for adult college students.
