I am a parent of two children who attends Summit Academy. One who is about to graduate and head off to college and the other in the seventh grade. Summit has been very good and supportive to me and my family. I love that they build community and partnerships with local nonprofits and leaders.

Summit Academy is a okay school but if you want to be successful go to a different school. The teachers give too much work and doesn’t let any students get breaks. Summit academy base homework off your whole grade. The teachers doesn’t understand the students at all. To be very honest I really dislike this school.

I went there for two years. This school was the worst experience of my life. I finally graduated high school this year and this school made me feel worthless. I didn't retain anything I learned because of emotional abuse they forced me to have. This school suspended me for "vandalism" of school property, more than once and never gave any evidence to me or my parents. I had never been suspended before in my school career, and I haven't since. I never "vandalized" anything in my entire life. They gave me countless "ISS" which was "in school suspension" for minor things that I couldn't even control. I was forced to sit in the back of class rooms and all other students were forced to "shun" me. I felt like I was in prison. To this day I am horrified by the things that happened to me in that school.

I've been attending summit academy charter school for 7 years , this is my senior year. For those who says that this is a bad school, they've been here for probably one year and isn't used to a charter school, or a school where the staff actually cares and pushes them. The staff here pushed me and now I'm graduating this school with a 4 year scholarship to any state college of ny ( thanks to Ellen and Walmart ) . If it wasn't for the staff at summit academy getting me ready for college , I probably would've gave up a longggg time ago .

Tengo a mi niña estudiando en esta escuela y definitivamente no podría estar más satisfecha por el apoyo que mi hija recibe, existen muchos programas académicos a demás me mantienen al tanto de su desarrollo académico....definitivamente lo recomiendo.

Principal is a disgrace. And the founder too ! They lie their way to get what they want. My child went there and made her feel worthless of learning. Teachers are excellent but the staff just horrible!!!
