I absolutely love this school. If I’m picking knits, they’re a smidge understaffed depending on your major, but if you put in even the slightest effort, you can get as good an education here as just about anywhere else. I’d steer away from the online courses personally, but to each their own. Any criticisms I have, however, are monstrously overshadowed by the location alone. It’s a dreamy place to ponder the arts, and minutes away from a nearly infinite array of legendary locales. You can get a life’s worth of educating without even attending a class. The collegiate experience is like a super bonus. The classes are generally fine, and some are phenomenal, like poetry and music in cinema, and pretty much all my history courses were awesome. I had one “bad” class, but that’s a pretty standard college experience no matter where you go…so I’d go here again and again, if for nothing else, the location alone. Brilliant pubs and restaurants right around the corner, so if you have a terrible professor, again pretty common no matter the school, just pop out for a beer and a snack to take the edge off. Good to go. Go Bears!!!

As far as the graduate nursing program goes, to say the least, there is room for improvement. Although most of the teachers were knowledgeable, there was one instructor who was both disorganized and maniacal. She single handedly ruined the experience and many of my classmates grades because she was unable to provide consistent instruction for multiple semesters. Her ineptitudes and inappropriateness were brought to light however the program continues to struggle under her instruction. Additionally, the behind the scenes aspects like health clearance are also wildly disorganized, last minute and rude. WHAT A MESS!

9/10 times Professors are great. Every school has a couple of poor professors. Scheduling is terrible. Not enough classes offered. They will most likely not accommodate. You must accommodate to them sometimes feels like the school will not work with you. Very Frustrating. Classes themselves are mostly good. Parking is usually not a huge issue. School has potential to be 5 stars but lack of classes available and consistent poor schedules block that potential. I put 3 but I would give it 2 1/2

I would give this school 0 stars if I could. I personally go to this school and they do not care about the students. I was given a schedule and 3 weeks in my first semester I found out THEY gave me the wrong classes and if I didn’t ask to change a class I would’ve gone through my entire college career and not be able to graduate because they gave me the wrong classes. The advisors do not check the schedules they give out to students and they make you feel as if you’re stupid when you’re talking to them. The environment of the place is just poor, for the time I’ve been here I’ve been the most depressed I’ve been my entire life, the people in the school aren’t friendly and some teachers pick on certain students just because they don’t like them for their own personal reason. I WOULD NEVER recommend anyone to this school, DON’T EVEN APPLY.

DO NOT APPLY TO THIS SCHOOL IF YOU ARE A MARKETING OR BUSINESS MAJOR. SJC is terrible with scheduling classes, they never offer what their students need and they are terrible with communicating. They never inform their students, especially seniors, when classes are available to be registered for. I regret going here and every dollar I spent on this worthless education. I will definitely be going to a real university for my masters.

A great and fair college with wonderful people. Currently enrolled there as a English major. Good curriculum and well-informed faculty and staff plus a chill student body.

Supportive professors and staff that truly push and are keeping an eye on your academic progress. I take graduate classes on both campuses.
