A beautiful church located in the heart of Baltimore. The high alter and pulpit are very beautiful and ornately designed. There are statues of the apostles lining the sides of the church.
There is also a side Chapel that you must see. This church is ran by the FSSP, daily Latin Mass is said here. I highly recommend for anyone who's never been to a Latin Mass to attend here if you're able to. The fraternity priest are truly a blessing from God.

I began my journey to the Tridentine Mass during Lent 2024. As I learned more I desired to hear Mass said by FSSP. I live in Virginia but was moved to make the drive to Baltimore. I now make the drive as often as possible. The church is ornate and beautiful. Best confessors I’ve experienced. Reverence. The Silence! Modesty. Veils. Music. Homilies. Kind & Welcoming people. It’s truly heaven on earth, as The Church ought to exude. Every single action and experience at St. Alphonsus silently “screams” Jesus is present and that The Tradition of His Church continues to reign as He promised. The Latin Mass, especially here at St. Alphonsus has nourished my faith in ways I simply can’t articulate. It draws me to The Truth in an increasingly magnificent way. Nothing I else I have experienced on Earth has ever made me desire The Truth like TLM. Christ is King!

Beautiful traditional and reverent Catholic church. We drive from Annapolis every Sunday. Father Bozant is an excellent and caring Pastor.

While my Latin mass journey only started last year, this is one of the most beautiful Latin masses i've ever attended. My Latin mass only offers low masses so I very rarely get to hear the beautiful organ, so coming here for the high mass on Sunday was a real treat! This was my first visit and I came a bit late, but the church was almost full. The endless sea of veils and mantillas was incredibly beautiful. Parishioners were also quite friendly & welcoming. The only downside is the audio system in this church is terrible. Granted I was sitting in the back so i'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but even as the priest was on the ambo/lectern, I could hardly hear. Could be worth looking into as i've seen other people also complain about this in the reviews!

Being in my 70's St Alphonsus has had a profound impact in my life. As a child my grandmother would take us to mass there before we went shopping on Howard Street, the 5th Avenue of Baltimore. It's the most beautiful and peaceful place, church, I know.

Love making a Pilgrimage to Baltimore for Holy Week. FSSP priests are amazing; and their liturgies are reverent and beautiful. However, be prepared for tight quarters and (very sadly) rude Catholics who don't know how to behave in church.

Beautiful church where the tradition of the Roman rite lives, unfortunately in a bad area, so be cautious.

Absolutely fantastic. One of the rare gems in Baltimore. I should know I visited often 10 years ago when I lived a half bock away.

It was German and then a Lithuanian then and still does mass in that native tongue.

Beautiful architecture. You must see it if you visit Baltimore, you will kick yourself if you don’t!
