My God, forget getting a hold of a real person when needing help! I am disabled and get my check on the 3rd of each month. I was told that my Financial Aid won't be added to my College Green ATM card until sometime in September. Two of my courses require a subscription to a Learning Platform which is not available in the HC Bookstore. It is only available on this particular website. This program costs $129.99 & they do not take school vouchers, only credit cards. My classes start Monday. What a circus...!

So unorganized, everyone gives a different answer, do not answer the phones ever. GOOD LUCK getting a return call or email from anyone but a professor. The offices do not answer the phone. The voicemails say to leave a voicemail and email. You do both and nothing. They all say it’s because they’re busy. However there isn’t a time it’s NOT like that. They constantly change the financial aid disbursement dates which I know have put several students in a mess that rely on that money. At the beginning of the year it took FIVE weeks to get my logins figured out and get some hold off my account for a meningitis vaccine when I’m already well past the age limit for that. Everyone I tried to login it blocked me. Nobody answered my calls or emails. Except the IT department but then it became an issue of the head people allowing me to and that was like pulling teeth. You only get decent help if you go up there and even then they’ll tell you something like, oh yeah well that is fixed but you’ll have to wait for that to process and come back again in a couple days to figure out the rest. I have kids and you can imagine it’s so much fun going up there rather than just getting on the phone and figuring stuff out! I visited the campus 11 times at the beginning of the year trying to figure out how to login so that I could start classes. It was an absolute mess. Jim already dreading sending my official transcripts to another college because I’m sure it’ll take Hill six years.

Biggest scam ever! Horrible communication! I am in my 30s trying to start school somewhere else but Hill College is holding my transcripts hostage for a balance that they cannot seem to explain why I have. So okay, I accept this and start an online payment plan, they don't explain properly how it works and all I ask is to change the payment date by a couple days because of my pay schedule. They refuse! And they refuse to defer it a month. And if the payment doesn’t go through then I have to pay extra fees until it comes out! And they refuse to cancel the plan, so I am trapped! I am severely disappointed in the communication. Had I known I would’ve NEVER signed up for this. Hill College is a scam. Parents DON’T SEND YOUR KID HERE!

I have been going to Hill College’s Holistic Wellness Pathway program for the last 2 years (I am finished after this semester!) and I have had an amazing experience. Specifically, professor Dr. Lori Rose has been amazing and everything one could hope for in a teacher! I have had very great experiences with admissions, financial aid, and academic advisors. I had a slight issue when I first applied but it was due to my misunderstanding and my academic advisor was helpful in coming to a resolution that worked. If you are nervous about this school due to Google reviews, here is my personal opinion and experience. It is absolutely worth it, especially for the Holistic Wellness Pathway.

The administration of this school has been terrible. Can’t get a return call or email. You continuously get transferred to voice mails. I don’t think they check their voice mails. That to me is unprofessional. And terrible service. I would just pay extra money and go to TCC in Fort Worth or attend an online college. My daughter is a student here. For two years it has been the same thing. Just keep getting pointed in a direction that accomplishes nothing.

Admissions staff is rude and not helpful at all. In an environment where a student is supposed to feel free to ask questions regarding college, you would expect the staff to be helpful and kind; at least that’s what I thought was part of the job. It was nothing like that; the lady I talked to specifically regarding financial aid was so rude, I couldn’t believe it. All the people I talked to seemed like it was a chore to be there and help. They truly don’t care about students. Attending Hill College as a first-generation college student was the worst idea. Now I attend MCC and it’s a whole different experience.
