1. The college consistently grapples with overcrowding issues.
2. Sanitary conditions in the restrooms do not meet the standards promised by SXC.
3. Administrative staff exhibit a lack of empathy towards students.
4. Despite a seating capacity of 50, the college canteen is invariably inundated, accommodating students at a ratio of 10 to 15 times its capacity.
5. This institution mirrors your secondary school experience: diminutive, congested, expensive, and fraught with competitive envy.
6. While the commerce stream may hold promise, other disciplines warrant reconsideration.
7. Drawing from personal encounters, the majority of professors are deemed average, with a few exceptions. Nonetheless, many find themselves ensnared in institutional constraints or ensnared in campus politics.
8. Particularly for non-West Bengal residents, there persists a stigma associated with being outside the communal and ideological echo chambers.

In conclusion, if you seek admission to a dignified institution, this represents your optimal choice. However, for an immersive collegiate experience, I would advise alternative options.

Please Don't take admission in COP-Carrier Orientated Program (PG Diploma course) of this college. They use the name Carrier Oriented Program to make it look attractive, a marketing strategy. I know you want to learn and gain knowledge, that's why you came across this college and reading my review but believe me your hard earned money will be lost. St. Xavier's is a big name but Name isn't everything.

I was selected for a Training Course in R programming. It was a dream to study in St. Xavier's College but did not got the qualifying marks. So I was very thrilled to be here and I must when I was leaving the college after the short course was over, the feeling was like something very good was over and only memories were left.

I have to say the faculty members of the Department of Statistics were very nice. The campus is just full of insipirations and positivity. Liked it very much.

Well-known & reputable college. It is located in a prime location on Park Street. Both Maidan and Park Street metro is a bit far from the college. You can't enter college without permission given to you.

I was a student of this college for 2 years. There i studied M.Sc. In this college you will only get the brand name and nothing else. Your hard earned money will be wasted and in return you will not get a proper placement. The behavior of the non teaching staffs are rude and unprofessional and some of the teachers (not all) think them as big fellows and their behavior were also very rude, not everyone but most of them. The Labs were also not upto the mark not maintained at all. There you will feel like you are caged.
If you want the brand name then you can ofcourse join the college but if you think of getting placement there will be a very less chance of that. In banners and in hoardings you will see a lot of companies had come to the college but in reality only 10% of the students get proper placement..
This is my experience yours may vary. But this is the truth of this college. There is nothing except the brand.. and they understand how to loot us by charging everything they can. Only breathing in this college is free apart from that everything is chargable. They dont think about the students they only think about money.
So in summary i can say that if you get chance in CU or some other colleges do go there and save your hard earned money.
