I honestly thought this company was one of the best options for a private loan. The interest rate we received was absolute garbage for the credit score my cosigner had. I decided to pay off the interest every month in an attempt to keep this very necessary loan down. After the hard inquiry hit, we tried to be careful. I'm still in school and had a serious medical scare and was late by less than a week and they sent us to collections with zero notice. For 40 dollars. I'm going to do everything in my power to pay this off quickly. This company is incredibly predatory. I can't wait to get a response from the "owner," saying they can't locate my account. As necessary as a loan might be, of you're a student on a limited budget, PLEASE stay away. They do not take their targeted business into consideration.
EDIT: In replying to the company: I double checked emails, phone calls, had my cosigner check emails and phone calls. We were not contacted a single time before it was sent to collections. Please don't say you do something when you do not.

Horrible. Said they’d lower my monthly rate and then 3 months later it goes back up and I called and they say their back office is ‘behind’ and that the modification just has to ‘processed’ and gives me no timeline. So now, it shows my account as delinquent and my credit went down over 100 points. They have no answers, have not sent me a single documentation of the modification, and the managers do absolutely nothing. Screw this company. I might as well not even pay back my student loan.

Best rates we could find for a private college loan. Application process was quick and easy, and they took care of all communications with the school to verify disbursement dates. Highly recommend.

we found the application process to be easy to navigate. The problem was the lapse in time between the processing and the information given, The loan was approved promptly and should have then notified the school We waited a week and called and were told it was all fine but wait a few more days. We called back the following week and were told that information was missing. Person asked for name, address and date of birth and said that now all the information was in to process. All that information had been on the application. Once again told to wait another 5 business days. In the meantime, the student traveled hundreds of miles to move into his dorm without still having the school being notified of anything, Three days before the start of school the school received the notification. Needless to say it was a very uncomfortable situation. Glad it finally worked out.

Disbursement was quick and easy. I had called to try and refinance my loan and while that was not what we ended up doing, Krystal on the phone was a great help and even called me back with more information to help me out. Thank you very much Krystal!!

applied to a loan for for the 23' and 24' school year and had an extremely high interest rate even though i had a high-credit cosigner. after attempting to apply for months for the 24'-25' school year, they declined my application and told me my credit scores do not meet their requirements even though mine, and my cosigners surpass their minimum by a landslide, after confronting customer service and calling them multiple times expressing our concern, they acted clueless and brushed us to the side and even told us to find a new company. it is now august and I have been struggling all summer to get the loan from these guys but this company is not worth it in the slightest. go to Sallie Mae or any other loan disbursement company as College Ave can randomly decline you without reasoning.

College Avenue was very fast and easy to apply for. Once approved they send you your schedule for disbursement. I like the fact you choose the amount you can borrow and how you want to pay your loan back. Interest rates are high but I plan to pay it off faster so should bot be that bad. Would definitely recommend. I choose this over government loan.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I applied for a loan, selected my school from their list. Waited patiently for 3+ weeks or here back, like they asked. & then I called them and they stated they don't "work with" the school. So I've been waiting all this time to hear they wont be moving forward and they have just left me hanging. When I asked to speak to a supervisor about why my school was an option on the application I was left on hold for 35+ minutes before I gave up. Don't use college Ave. They are hard to get a hold of and they are NOT trustworthy
