I NEVER write reviews on anything but this school is a perfect example to why students become discouraged and turn away from education. This school is by far the worst school I have ever attended solely because of the financial aid and advising department (I've attended a total of 5 schools due to moving). I submitted all my required documents ON the due date to start in the fall semester of 2024 because there was a sudden change of plans from where I was originally going to attend. It took them 2 months to process my application, transcripts and financial aid (October) making me miss out on the start of my BSN core nursing classes. I had to settle for taking my electives during the B session, pushing back the schedule to my BSN program. Not to mention, they do not communicate effectively or provide any sort of guidance (I had to call just for them to tell me of any updates or any roadblocks that I am unaware of until I call). It takes them 30 business days for ANYTHING to be done (i am not exaggerating)... even if it's just for a simple yes/no answer. I get through the B session fall semester and register for my spring 2025 courses this January 2025 all for them to take away my classes after I submitted the first week of assignments in 4 course. Apparently, I have exceeded my bachelors degree credit limit and have to write an appeal if I want to continue taking course.. NO ONE informed me of this when I applied, started or ended my last semester. Not one advisor or financial aid representative gave a warning like it says on the website that they do. I would have planned accordingly academically and financially (since they don't believe in payment plans) had I known this information. It would take them ANOTHER 14 days just to approve or deny my appeal letter pushing me back another semester to my BSN schedule. They sit on everything and simply do not care. Dominique is the only one who actually tried helping and relieving the stress they inflicted. I would never recommend a family, friend or stranger here. I withdrew from this school expeditiously.

This review is for the campus and facility as I attended Google Developers DevFest 2023. Well maintained functional facility and campus. Didn't expect it to be so scenic. Heard about a planetarium but didn't get to see it. The seats in the classrooms were comfortable.

Horrible experience. I applied as a transient student from UCF to take an important course. They BARELY messaged me back and when they did they were very vague. They dropped my from my class without telling me and nobody could help me. DO NOT recommend this school.

I am returning to school after a 7-year break. I found it difficult to get help in my first week. I didn't know how to work Canvas or how to find my assignments. The computer tutor Jenn wasn't available until the second week of school. May I mind you, she is the ONLY TUTOR for COP 1000. Yet the professor gave out assignments due at the beginning of the second week.

Now, how  am I supposed to succeed under these conditions? When what I needed was not available until after my assignments were due. The assignments that were given were geared towards being able to write computer code. Sadly, limited persons are available for tutoring in this concentration. After reaching out to my VA counselor and telling her what I was experiencing.

I found help 3 weeks in the semester. Now I visit the Academic Success Center, but there isn't anyone to tutor CET 1179. The professors were of no help. I emailed, but no response. The way Professor John Delgado operates the course is not set up for those just entering the field.

Albeit there are NO CO-REQUISITES  PRE-REQUISITES for these courses. John still expects me to know computer programming with no IT experience. I believe he doesn't care for his students. For him, it's just a check and go home. Then, the communication between me and my IT counselor was very poor.

Samaris Cruz, her response time isn't up to par. I ended up withdrawing from both computer courses and switching my concentration. I refuse to stay in the IT field at Seminole State. From my experience, it's not set up for me to succeed.

Lastly, before you extend your apology, just know it means nothing. Refund all my money for the course materials I wasted. From trying to participate in your IT program. The only reason I chose IT is because I am a veteran being rehabilitated into a new field. I see that was my first mistake.

Affordable, small classes and several locations in Seminole county. Hands on theatre program. Astronomy classes with planetarium and field trips with advanced equipment.
Variety of majors. Some 4 yr degrees. Guaranteed admission to Florida Universities upon completion .

I need to complete the teacher's certification. They make it impossible to use a state waiver for tuition. I was told they would not hold a class so I could not get for FREE! I retorted that I EARNED that benefit! I had to cancel the enrollment .

Seminole state is a great state college that can help you find a career and guide you along the way to become successful in that career. Here are some pictures I’ve taken from my Electrical course at Seminole state college! We go on field trips around the the Seminole county area to get 1st person view of what a traditional job site would look like, along with hands on training with motors.
