J'ai assisté dans cette école à nombre de concerts d'un niveau exceptionnel. En outre, la diversité des œuvres représentées ouvre des horizons qui élargissent le champ de ma culture musicale classique ; j'ai pu ainsi découvrir des auteurs contemporains qui ne sont pas nécessairement mis en avant dans la production discographique habituelle. Ne manquez pas les mini-concerts offerts presque chaque jour entre 11:00 et 13:00 ce sont de petites perles !

This is a beautiful school and best cafe in LA. The architecture is very modern and Landscape is out of this world. I would this school 5 stars except that I was not allowed to take pictures, so I had to take this as security came to kick me out.

I must express my deep disappointment with my initial encounter during a Camerata Pacifica concert. The experience turned out to be quite distressing. Attending a show at Colburn in downtown LA last night, I found myself receiving treatment that made me feel devalued by a member of the staff. Unfamiliar with the venue's policies as a first-time visitor, I inadvertently captured a discreet video on my phone, a mistake for which I accept full responsibility.

A male staff member discreetly approached me and softly communicated a reminder about the no-phone policy, to which I promptly complied. However, his approach quickly escalated as he forcefully grabbed my hands, pushing them down, and proceeded to point his finger at me while sternly reprimanding me with a sharp "NO." This not only caused physical discomfort to my wrist but also left me feeling humiliated and violated as I attempted to salvage the remainder of the show.

I couldn't help but notice the few people of color present, and I found myself among the few who resembled me. In this moment, I feel compelled to assert myself and stand my ground. I strongly believe that had the situation involved someone not of color, the staff member's response would not have turned physically aggressive.

It's disheartening when an experience that should be about enjoying music and culture is marred by such unpleasant interactions.

Every year, the school holds a public exhibition of all their main talents - music, choregraphy...etc. It's very entertaining and a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Those young little meow meows are so cute! I've never taken a class here and of course, being DTLA, there's rarely any affordable parking nearby esp. during event days. However, if you do have a chance to see a show here, I recommend it.

As a professional classical singer, I work with one of the excellent teachers at the school and, if she's an indication, the standard is very high. The music program itself, I only know thru others, but the facilities, the performing spaces, are works of art, from the smallest to the largest. For classical singers, instrumental soloists, and chamber musicians, their acoustics are perfect. Given the decline in Performing Arts programs in the schools, this place is a treasure.

My stepson is there on scholarship. The meal plan costs his mother and I roughly $300 a month. In two months he has exhausted his yearly allotment. We still have to pay monthly but now also have to have food delivered to him so he can eat. Why

Heard a beautiful chamber concert put on by the LA Chamber Orchestra. First time hearing chamber music after two years of the pandemic. Lovely playing by everyone!

Hola mi hijo partisipa en la escuela comunitaria de Colburn a participado por 7 años y antes tenian muy buenas presentaciones considero que es una buena escuela pero a la escuela comunitaria a bajado mucho la calidad y atención a sía los estudiantes la presentaciones de la escuela comunitaria solo las asen porhacer cin ninguna calidad.
