This website has been an amazingly helpful learning aid in my quest to get a good grasp of French. I love the short, condensed explanations (no tiresome grammar rules to study!) and the fun format in which everything is laid out. This site is very helpful to anyone planning on traveling to France because it provides all the words, phrases, idioms you would need to get around and communicate well. Additionally, the correct way to pronounce everything is taught by an expert native French speaker. They actually send you a word a day, so you have to take care to keep up and stay on top of things. I look forward to getting the new word or phrase every single day and engaging myself, for a few short minutes, in a fun, useful online French tutorial!

Last year, as an exercise to maintain mental activity, I decided to challenge myself to learn French. I have dictionaries and flash cards, and my husband has bought me children’s books for additional ways to practice my knowledge. Then I found French Learner on line! I look forward to the word of the day and try to use it ( or at least think it) during my work day. This has been a great way to expand my vocabulary! Just yesterday on NPR there was a report on the Olympic flame arriving in France, and I was able to understand President Macron’s comments before hearing the English translation.

This is a terrific site for novice-high or intermediate learners. I am a French teacher and I usually am familiar w/ all aspects of what is presented. I still enjoy getting an email / day from this site because occasionally I come across a word that I have never seen / heard. Even if I don't see a new "word of the day," sometimes a word embedded in a sample sentence is a term that is new to me OR is a familiar term that is being used differently from the way I recognize.

French Learner is a great site for learning new french words, how to properly pronounce them, and in what context it should be used. They also list your most recent lessons including posts on essential verbs and other areas like French songs, with an analysis of the lyrics. Its also presented in a very user friendly way. This site is easy to use and great for increasing your french vocabulary! Don't miss it.

This FrenchLearner website is excellent! I love getting a new word or phrase each day. I studied French long ago in high school and college, but I had become very rusty. This website presents the words with text and sound and is bringing my second language back to me.

French Learner is an extremely useful website as it provides a range of services to assist in progressing the use of French. The daily word service gives one nuances and subtleties which help one to speak French properly and colloquially, which enables one to advance closer to native French speaking. I don't know of any other website that operates as well as French Learner.
